At Aamani, you will work directly with the owner and board certified behavior analyst, Brooke Leuzinger.
Brooke fell in love with the field of ABA after working with her first client. She witnessed first-hand the life-changing impact that ABA had on a 5-year-old, non-verbal child. Seeing the child learn to speak vocally and reduce aggression and self-injury launched Brooke into her ABA journey and career.
Growing up with her hardships, Brooke has an undeniable compassion for supporting individuals and families in living their best life. Brooke is known for her authenticity, thoughtfulness, and self-awareness.
Brooke has worked in the field of ABA since 2016. Brooke completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Southern Oregon University and continued her studies in applied behavior analysis at Florida Institute of Technology. Brooke graduated with honors and received her master's of arts in ABA. Brooke holds her board certified behavior analyst certification. Brooke's specialties and interests include verbal behavior, social skills, daily living skills, coping skills, and the reduction of high-intensity behaviors such as aggression, outbursts, and self-injury. Brooke also specializes in acceptance and commitment therapy, which supports a variety of behaviors, including having a positive impact on anxiety-related symptoms. Lastly, Brooke provides ABA consultation and intervention in the school setting.
Brooke is an avid mountain biker and can also be found backpacking, skiing, and hiking her dog. Brooke constantly yearns for self-growth, often waking up early to read inspirational and self-growth books.
Brooke evaluates and implements evidence-based interventions to support those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and related disabilities.
Brooke conducts functional behavior assessments, a necessary evaluation to support a reduction in socially inappropriate and potentially harmful behavior.
Brooke is highly experienced and passionate about treating language skill deficits.
Brooke conducts a functional analysis to evaluate how private events influence overt behavior. Brooke implements acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to support individuals in coping with complex thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
Brooke specializes in the reduction of socially inappropriate and potentially harmful behavior, such as self-injury, aggression, and behavioral outbursts.
